Artist’s statement

For thirty years I was a Sydney architect; now I I am an Adelaide painter.

For me travel is always a life metaphor. These recent paintings/drawings relate to humanity’s fleeting existence on this fragile planet, harking back to imagined memories of Japan.

Insignificant Lilliputians earnestly pursue absurd acrobatics in slightly surreal landscapes: unknowing, insignificant.
